Portal 2 Confirmed

Portal 2 Confirmed

Fri, 02/22/2008 - 18:19 — Story by Jonathan
Game:
Portal 2

It would seem the cake isn't a lie as Valve's revolutionary first-person puzzle game Portal has just been confirmed for a sequel. Kimberly Swift, lead designer of Portal said in an interview with X-Play,

"Well, I believe Doug Lombardi who is our lead marketing director at Valve, has announced Portal 2..."

No details were mentioned concerning platform releases or release dates but knowing valve we can expect to see Portal 2 in the next 3-5 years.

This is a triumph!

This is awesome, expected news. Portal was such a refreshing, fun, humorous game and knowing Valve, the sequel shouldn't disappoint.

I guess I'm a little surprised that we'll see it in 3-5 years but I guess they're making it longer than a 2-3 hour game?

I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.

Nothing was confirmed on release date but Valve usually takes an extremely long time to release a game. Half-Life 2 alone took 5 years to create. The 3-5 years comment was just an exaggeration on my part but I wouldn't put a long development time past Valve.

It's so delicious and moist.

Well, Half-Life 2 had a few obstacles to overcome like creating the Source Engine and some other trouble like a legal battle of some kind if I recall correctly?

Still, they can take their time. I'm patient. I'm still waiting on my new PC to play new upcoming games...
