I played Heroes of Might and magic series since the first release. It is a very nice game. You will feel really good when your level 1 hero become a master who can fight against dragons and other powerful creatures along. There are lot of creatures waiting for you to explore, lots of treasures and even the weapons in legends waiting for you to find out ...
I love strategy games man! specially world of warcraft, caesar, civilization, command and conquer all these gives are so addictive I can spend whole weekends playing them. never played Heroes of Might and magic though. May be this is the game for this weekend ;0)
I haven't played the original, but the free clone, freeciv (http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page), is so addictive. I just wish there was a way to play the game a little faster. After several days of playing I still haven't concurred the world.
