Originally released in arcades in 1991, Street Fighter II is one of the most popular fighting games of all time! The original version of this title featured eight characters, each with unique fighting styles and special moves. The object was to choose a character to take around the world and face off with each of the other characters to determine the ultimate Street Fighter. But it wasn't long before fans of this arcade classic wanted more, and thus, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting was introduced with faster gameplay, new character moves and midair attacks!
Now available on the Xbox 360, the game takes advantage of the new online features and the console's powerful processing capabilities to create a seamless online multiplayer experience. Among several online game options is an exclusive mode called "Quarter Match", which introduces a new way of reliving the exhilarating arcade experience at home. Xbox 360 users can connect to the Xbox LIVE online game service and access Xbox Live Arcade to download a free, feature-limited version of the game which offers two playable characters for one match. When they are ready for the ultimate retro gaming experience, users can then unlock the full version of the game, enabling players to choose from all eight original characters as well as four boss characters, each with their own special endings and home levels. Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is now available for download on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points.
